Watersheds 2014: Towards Watershed Governance in British Columbia and Beyond

"Watersheds 2014" contains the edited proceedings from a 3 day-forum held in Duncan, BC, January 27-29, 2014. The report is a synthesis of

themes, perspectives, and accounts of first-hand experiences heard at the forum.  The Forum built on a significant body of research
from a 4-yr collaborative cross-Canada initiative funded by the Governance for Watershed-Based Water Network (CWN) and led by researchers at the
University of Waterloo, Ontario.

The "Edited Proceedings of Watersheds 2014" is organized thematically, with the name and affiliation of each speaker and moderator listed at the beginning of each section.  Various sections will capture various interests.  The Section titled, "Water Law and BC's Water Act" outlines legal tools available to municpalities to protect watersheds, pages 28-31.  Some of these tools are actively pursued in Alberta while others or not.  Read on!
