Save the date to tour several sites planted last year at Pigeon Lake. There are both residential and public space examples. You will see:

  • Native plantings of grasses, flowers and shrubs
  • Willow staking and other shoreline stabilization planting techniques
  • The first example of a new erosion control blanket being manufactured in Drayton Valley
  • Two culvert daylighting examples on municipal land

These sites are still very new and getting established, it will be a bit like evaluating teenagers. But we want to share our successes and challenges with you and hear your feedback.
